Albert
Kirschner (80 year old Jumper): Albert Kirschner,
80, recently returned from his routine doctor checkup
to find out what he already felt; his cholesterol
levels were normal, his blood results looked great
and his heart was stronger than ever. Jumping rope
for the past seven years, combined with a good diet
and strength training has added quality to his life.
Today Albert jumps three times a week for a total
of 30 to 45 minutes (1-3 minutes non stop) and participates
in all kinds of other fitness activities at his
YMCA. This past winter, when Albert slipped and
fell on the ice, he was fortunate to be able to
catch himself with his hands. The incident left
